Coaches and Volunteers

Our teams are led by volunteer coaches who focus on teaching fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and respectin a safe, age-appropriate environment. Coaches are expected to model positive behavior, encourage effort and growth, and create an inclusive team culture where every player feels valued.

Coaches receive support through:

• Practice plans and age-appropriate drills
• Guidance from experienced mentors and league leadership
• Clear expectations aligned with PONY Baseball standards
• Emphasis on positive coaching and player development

We believe volunteers succeed when they feel prepared and supported. All coaches and key volunteers receive:

• Orientation and role guidance
• Access to coaching resources and league policies
• Ongoing communication and support from league leadership

Safety & Player Protection

The safety of our players is a top priority. All coaches and volunteers are required to:

• Complete background checks
• Follow league safety rules and codes of conduct
• Adhere to age-appropriate practice and game guidelines
• Support a respectful, harassment-free environment

Our league thrives because of family involvement. Parents and guardians are encouraged to volunteer in a variety of roles that support teams, events, and league operations. Every volunteer plays an important role in creating a positive experience for our athletes.
